     Job Overview

    The Office Sales Manager is responsible for driving branch sales performance, managing a team of field agents and office staff, and ensuring consistent growth in policy sales and customer retention.

    This is a target-driven leadership role focused on sales, team management, and operational efficiency.

     Key Responsibilities

     Sales Leadership

    • Recruit, lead, and motivate sales teams (office & field agents)
    • Set and track daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
    • Conduct sales briefings and performance reviews

    Sales Growth & Targets

    • Achieve monthly new business targets
    • Drive marketing campaigns (activations, door-to-door, promotions)
    • Identify and develop new market opportunities

     Staff Management

    • Recruit, train, and onboard new agents
    • Monitor productivity, attendance, and performance
    • Conduct coaching sessions and performance reviews
    • Ensure compliance with sales processes and regulations

     Client Service & Retention

    • Oversee walk-in client service
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
    • Improve policy retention (persistency)

     Branch Operations

    • Ensure the branch is fully staffed and operational
    • Maintain a professional and presentable environment
    • Manage reporting (daily, weekly, monthly sales reports)

     Minimum Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Minimum 3 years’ sales management experience
      (Insurance or funeral industry preferred)
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Valid driver’s licence & own vehicle (advantageous)
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
    • Knowledge of funeral or insurance products (advantage)
    • Excellent communication skills (English + local languages)
