Job Overview
The Funeral Arrangement Consultant (FAC) supports bereaved families through the full funeral planning and coordination process. The role requires a strong balance of empathy, professionalism, and administrative accuracy, ensuring that every funeral service is handled with dignity and care.
You will coordinate between families, funeral teams, cemeteries, and service providers to ensure smooth and respectful service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Family Care
- Guide families through funeral arrangements
- Provide empathetic and professional communication
- Ensure respectful handling of sensitive situations
Funeral Coordination
- Manage and schedule funeral services
- Coordinate with cemeteries, service providers, and internal teams
- Ensure all arrangements are properly executed
Administration & Documentation
- Complete accurate funeral arrangement documentation
- Handle financial and operational records
- Ensure error-free administrative processes
Communication Management
- Maintain timely communication with families
- Ensure quick response times and updates
- Liaise effectively between all stakeholders
⚙️ Operational Support
- Ensure funeral readiness and smooth execution
- Handle multiple arrangements simultaneously
- Support after-hours and weekend operations when required

Minimum Requirements
- Certificate/Diploma in Business Management or Operations
- 1–2 years’ experience in one of the following:
- Funeral arrangements
- Customer service (high-contact environment)
- Administrative roles involving sensitive clients
- Strong communication skills (English + Sesotho/Setswana)
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emotional situations
- Willingness to work weekends and after-hours when required
