Job Description
The Vaal-Orange Catchment Management Agency is seeking eight Administrative Clerks to provide administrative and client-support services within the WARMS division.
The successful candidates will assist with the national water-use registration process, including issuing and processing registration forms, capturing applications, updating registered-user information and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue relevant water-use registration forms to users.
- Assist users with completing application forms.
- Check applications to ensure all required information has been provided.
- Capture applications for new water users.
- Amend registered-user information based on approved outcomes.
- Generate confirmation documents.
- Prepare registration certificates for approval.
- Copy and distribute registration certificates to registered users.
- Maintain records of client correspondence.
- Maintain decision documents in official property files.
- Provide help-desk and client-support services.
- Assist users with queries relating to the water-use registration process.
- Ensure accurate and efficient administration of registration information.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
- Appropriate experience in:
- General office administration.
- Data capturing.
- Computer literacy.
- Sound knowledge of:
- Word processing.
- Spreadsheets.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Practical experience in client services.
- Experience in letter and report writing.
- Experience with the national water-use registration process.
- Knowledge of the National Water Act, Act 36 of 1998, and other relevant legislation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
