Job Description
The Millwright will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical and mechanical equipment within a production environment. The role focuses on minimizing production downtime and ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely.
The successful candidate will perform both preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Conduct breakdown maintenance when equipment fails.
- Ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Fault Finding & Repairs
- Diagnose electrical faults.
- Diagnose mechanical faults.
- Repair production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
Production Support
- Minimize equipment downtime.
- Maximize production efficiency.
- Ensure machinery remains operational during production processes.
Health & Safety
- Comply with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Follow maintenance and operational procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Trade-Tested Millwright qualification.
- Red Seal certification is advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of Millwright experience.
Technical Skills
- Electrical fault-finding.
- Mechanical fault-finding.
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience.
- Motors and motor control systems.
- Pumps and pumping systems.
- Conveyor systems.
- Production machinery maintenance and repair.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work shifts.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Own reliable transport.
