Tender Overview
Transnet SOC Ltd invites suitable suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of safety valves for railway wagon compressed-air systems.
Scope of Supply
The tender covers the supply and delivery of two (2) safety valves to Transnet Engineering in Bloemfontein.
The valves must provide automatic overpressure protection for compressed-air systems and comply with the technical specifications contained in the RFQ documentation.
Key Requirements
Supplied safety valves must meet the specified requirements, including:
- G3/4 BSP male thread connection.
- Brass body construction.
- FKM seal material.
- Set pressure of 10.5 BAR (1,050 KPA).
- Fluid temperature range of -55°C to +180°C.
- Environmental temperature range of -55°C to +120°C.
- Vertical mounting capability.
- Compliance with AD2000, PED 2014/68/EU, DIN EN ISO 4126-1 and DIN 5589 standards.
- Valid and dated engineering drawings.
- Permanent product and packaging identification for traceability.
Supplier Requirements
Bidders must provide the required statutory and procurement documentation, including:
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or CSD details.
- Completed and signed returnable documents and SBD forms.
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, where applicable.
- Required declarations and disclosures.
- Compliance with Transnet’s electronic submission requirements.
