    • Project Objective: To appoint an accredited and reputable training service provider to deliver in-house occupational health and safety training interventions that enhance the knowledge, skills, and workplace safety practices of municipal employees.

    Job Description

    The successful service provider will be responsible for planning, facilitating, and delivering accredited in-house training programmes for employees of Moqhaka Local Municipality. The training will focus on occupational health and safety, including first aid procedures, the safe handling and storage of hazardous chemicals, and the responsibilities of health and safety representatives.

    The service provider must supply qualified facilitators, learning materials, assessments, and all required training documentation while ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and training standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and coordinate the delivery of all in-house training interventions.
    • Deliver the Support & First Aid Procedures training programme (2 days).
    • Deliver the Receive, Handle and Store Hazardous Chemicals Safely training programme (2 days).
    • Deliver the Describe the Function of the Health and Safety Representative training programme (1 day).
    • Develop and prepare training schedules.
    • Provide qualified and accredited facilitators for each training programme.
    • Supply all required learner guides, training manuals, and learning materials.
    • Conduct learner assessments in accordance with accreditation requirements.
    • Evaluate participant competency and learning outcomes.
    • Maintain attendance registers and learner records.
    • Issue certificates of completion or statements of competence where applicable.
    • Ensure all training complies with occupational health and safety legislation and relevant unit standards.
    • Submit all required training reports and supporting documentation to the municipality.
    • Provide evidence of previous similar projects and contactable references.
    • Ensure effective communication with municipal officials throughout the project.
    • Deliver training within the agreed project timelines.
    • Cover all travel, accommodation, and operational costs, as these will not be paid by the municipality.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must be an accredited training service provider.
    • Demonstrated experience in delivering occupational health and safety training.
    • Submit a minimum of three reference letters, appointment letters, or completion certificates for similar projects.
    • Provide contactable references for previous work completed.
    • Submit all required tender documents and compliance forms.
    • Ability to deliver in-house training at the municipality’s premises.
    • Ability to provide qualified facilitators and assessors.
    • Compliance with all tender specifications and contractual requirements.
