Project Overview
The Border Management Authority requires a qualified service provider to inspect, service, repair, maintain, and calibrate a total of 107 thermal scanners deployed at ports of entry and operational facilities across South Africa.
The project aims to ensure all thermal imaging equipment remains fully operational and calibrated according to required standards.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for:
Inspection and Assessment
- Inspect all thermal scanners.
- Identify faults and maintenance requirements.
- Assess operational readiness of each unit.
Maintenance and Servicing
- Routine servicing of all scanners.
- Preventative maintenance.
- Functional testing after servicing.
Calibration
- Calibrate all thermal scanners.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Issue calibration certificates for each scanner.
Repairs
- Repair non-functional units.
- Replace damaged components.
- Resolve charging and battery issues.
- Repair hardware faults and operational failures.
Documentation
- Provide maintenance reports.
- Submit calibration certificates.
- Record repairs and replacement parts used.
