Project Overview
MISA seeks to appoint a professional engineering consulting firm or service provider to undertake the refurbishment and upgrading of the Zastron Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW).
The treatment plant has been severely vandalised and is currently non-operational. The appointed consultant will provide end-to-end professional services from assessment and design through to construction supervision and project close-out.
The project must be completed by 30 November 2026.
Main Objectives
The successful bidder will be responsible for:
- Assessing the current condition of the wastewater treatment works.
- Conducting site investigations and technical evaluations.
- Preparing concept, preliminary and detailed designs.
- Developing tender and procurement documentation.
- Managing construction contracts.
- Supervising refurbishment works.
- Ensuring environmental compliance.
- Training plant operators.
- Restoring the facility to full operational functionality.
Scope of Work
Planning and Design
- Infrastructure condition assessments.
