Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the role is to:
- Lecture Information Technology modules at undergraduate level
- Support academic administration and departmental operations
- Develop learning materials and assessments
- Monitor and support student academic progress
- Contribute to quality teaching and learning outcomes

Main Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Deliver lectures and practical IT training sessions.
- Prepare lesson notes, study materials, and teaching resources.
- Guide students through theoretical and practical IT concepts.
- Ensure content aligns with academic standards and curriculum requirements.
Assessment and Evaluation
- Set, moderate, and mark assessments and examinations.
- Provide feedback to students to improve performance.
- Maintain academic records and evaluation documentation.
Student Support
- Monitor and support at-risk students.
- Provide academic guidance and mentoring.
- Encourage student engagement and success.
Academic Administration
- Participate in departmental and institutional academic activities.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Assist with administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Master’s Degree or PhD in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Or related field
Experience
- 1–2 years lecturing experience in higher education
- Knowledge of academic teaching practices and processes
- Research experience (advantageous)
