JOB DESCRIPTION
The Crew member is responsible for the safe collection, transportation, and delivery of clients’ cash and valuables. The role involves working as part of a Cash-In-Transit (CIT) team, ensuring that all movements of money are secure, properly documented, and completed according to strict security procedures.
You will also assist in sorting, handling consignments, and preventing security risks, while maintaining communication with the control room.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Handling & Transportation
- Collect and deliver clients’ money safely
- Ensure proof of collection and delivery is recorded
- Receive, sort, and distribute consignments
Security & Risk Management
- Monitor surroundings for suspicious activity
- Take preventative action against potential threats
- Report incidents or delays immediately
- Maintain constant communication with control room (radio contact)
Operational Duties
- Follow all security and company procedures
- Assist with loading and offloading cash consignments
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
- Train to become a Custodian (team leader role)
Minimum Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- PSIRA accreditation (minimum Grade C)
- Cash-In-Transit (CIT) certificate
- Firearm competency (handgun for business purposes)
- Physically fit
Advantageous
- At least 2 years’ experience in the security industry
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous experience in Cash-In-Transit or similar roles
