JOB DESCRIPTION
The Crew member is responsible for the secure collection, transportation, and delivery of clients’ cash and valuables. This role is part of a Cash-In-Transit (CIT) team, ensuring that all cash movements are conducted safely, efficiently, and according to strict security procedures.
The position also involves handling consignments, monitoring risks, and maintaining constant communication with the control centre to ensure operational safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Collection & Delivery
- Collect and deliver clients’ money securely
- Ensure proof of collection and delivery is completed
- Handle and transport cash consignments safely
Consignment Handling
- Receive, sort, and distribute consignments
- Ensure accuracy and accountability of all items
Security & Risk Management
- Monitor surroundings for suspicious activity
- Take preventative action against potential threats
- Report incidents and delays immediately
- Maintain radio communication with controllers
Operational Duties
- Follow all company security procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Assist with loading and offloading of cash
- Train to become a Custodian (senior role)
Minimum Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- PSIRA accreditation (minimum Grade C)
- Cash-In-Transit (CIT) certificate
- Firearm competency (handgun for business purposes)
- Physically fit
Advantageous
- 2+ years’ experience in security or similar role
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in CIT operations
