     Role Purpose

    The Channel Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution efficiency, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role connects operations, sales, and customer service to ensure smooth product delivery and increased market share.

     Key Responsibilities

     Distribution & Route Management

    • Ensure deliveries follow efficient, optimised routes
    • Monitor truck utilisation and delivery performance
    • Verify invoices against loading lists before dispatch

     Sales & Performance Management

    • Track daily sales performance from driver teams
    • Ensure targets are met and exceeded
    • Identify opportunities to grow sales and market share
    • Analyse competitor activity and provide improvement strategies

     Orders, Returns & Stock Control

    • Monitor orders, deliveries, and product returns
    • Implement plans to reduce returns and losses
    • Ensure accurate customer information and account setup

     Team Leadership & Support

    • Train, support, and supervise drivers and assistants
    • Evaluate performance and improve productivity
    • Manage route planning and customer coverage

     Customer Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
    • Handle complaints and resolve issues effectively
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities
    • Ensure merchandising standards are maintained

     Pricing & Market Intelligence

    • Conduct weekly price surveys
    • Monitor pricing strategies and compliance
    • Provide insights on market trends and competitor activity

     Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Diploma/Degree in Sales or Marketing
    • Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP
    • 3–5 years relevant experience
