    Role Purpose

    The Insurance Consultant provides end-to-end support to insurance intermediaries (brokers). The role focuses on assisting brokers with policy queries, quotations, renewals, and customer support while helping the business achieve growth and profitability targets.

    Key Responsibilities

    Client & Broker Support

    • Provide telephonic and email support to intermediaries and broker representatives

    • Handle general insurance and policy enquiries

    • Manage broker and client expectations regarding turnaround times

    Sales & Business Growth

    • Analyse broker requests and prepare insurance quotations

    • Conduct outbound calls to brokers to discuss and convert quotations

    • Contribute to profit and growth targets

    Policy Administration

    • Manage:

      • New policy issuance

      • Policy maintenance

      • Renewals

      • Policy cancellations and retention efforts

    Customer Service

    • Deliver exceptional service and proactive solutions

    • Follow up on cancelled policies and attempt to retain clients

    • Ensure compliance with underwriting criteria and regional requirements

    Workflow & Productivity

    • Prioritise work and manage tasks efficiently

    • Adhere to workforce management and productivity standards

    • Use performance management systems to improve results

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Matric / Grade 12

    • 60 FAIS credits (Commercial Lines)

    Experience

    • Minimum 3 years experience in Financial Services

    • Experience in Short-Term Insurance (advantageous)

    Additional Qualifications (Advantageous)

    • Insurance-related qualification (NQF Level 5)

    • Tertiary qualification
