Job Description
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for monitoring compliance, financial management and accountability relating to funding provided to Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) and Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs). The role includes coordinating the NPO funding cycle, reviewing financial documentation, identifying irregularities and implementing corrective measures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance and management of funds provided to CBOs and NGOs in line with financial guidelines.
- Coordinate and monitor the NPO funding cycle.
- Provide support and guidance to CBOs to promote effective financial management and accountability.
- Identify financial irregularities and refer them to the relevant section.
- Implement appropriate corrective measures where irregularities are identified.
- Screen and monitor financial files.
- Collect financial reports from NPOs.
- Check financial files for all required documentation.
- Compile intervention reports.
- Supervise staff.
- Perform relevant day-to-day administrative duties.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
- Appropriate National Diploma in:
- Financial Management;
- Economics;
- Accounting;
- Public Management; or
- An equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6 recognised by SAQA.
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ relevant working experience in NPO and budget-related functions.
- Valid driver’s licence.
