Job Description
The Staff Nurse Grade 1 will provide basic clinical nursing services while ensuring compliance with nursing legislation, legal and ethical requirements, the applicable scope of practice and established nursing standards.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices.
- Perform basic clinical nursing practice in accordance with the applicable scope of practice.
- Adhere to nursing standards as determined by the relevant health facility.
- Promote and maintain quality basic nursing care.
- Perform nursing duties in accordance with the professional scope of practice and prescribed standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
- Appropriate qualification that allows current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
- Current registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
