Job Description
The Despatch Controller is responsible for coordinating daily logistics and dispatch activities to ensure deliveries are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The role involves managing dispatch documentation, responding to urgent delivery requests, coordinating resources, and maintaining excellent customer service standards while supporting the smooth operation of Ampath’s logistics services.
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch Coordination
- Coordinate daily dispatch and delivery operations.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Respond efficiently to urgent delivery requests.
- Monitor and manage the flow of dispatch activities.
Logistics Administration
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation.
- Ensure all logistics documentation is completed correctly.
- Support the efficient allocation and use of resources.
- Assist in coordinating operational activities.
Customer Service
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Deliver professional and reliable customer service.
- Ensure service standards are consistently maintained.
Operational Support
- Identify and resolve logistical issues promptly.
- Maintain efficient workflow within dispatch operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid South African driver’s licence (Code EB and/or Code A).
- Minimum of five (5) years’ driving experience.
