Job Description
The Administration Clerk: Mechanical Services provides administrative and logistical support within the Mechanical Services workshop. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth administration of maintenance activities by processing job cards, tracking vehicle repairs, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the daily operations of the mechanical workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Mechanical Services workshop.
- Perform general office administration and recordkeeping.
- Ensure daily administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
Mechanical Workshop Administration
- Process maintenance job cards.
- Track work-in-progress for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure all mechanical repairs are properly documented.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and workshop records.
Documentation and Record Management
- Capture and update maintenance information.
- Organise and maintain workshop documentation.
- Ensure records are accurate, complete, and readily available.
Logistical Support
- Provide logistical support for workshop operations.
- Assist in coordinating maintenance activities.
- Support the efficient flow of maintenance documentation.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate), NCV Level 4, or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification recognised by SAQA.
- Be proficient in English and at least one other official South African language.
- Be a South African citizen (documentary proof must be provided).
- Relevant courses in administration, mechanical services, or a related field will be an added advantage.
