Job Overview
Clicks Group is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Shop Assistant / Cashier to join its Northridge Mall store in Bloemfontein. Reporting to the Store Manager, the successful candidate will deliver outstanding customer service, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently, maintain merchandising standards, and contribute to creating a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Act as a brand ambassador by creating a welcoming shopping experience.
- Inform customers about promotions, products, and special offers.
- Promote and register customers for the Clicks ClubCard loyalty programme.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
Point of Sale (POS)
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash and other payment methods safely.
- Process ClubCard rewards and loyalty transactions.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and balancing procedures.
Merchandising & Store Operations
- Replenish stock and maintain attractive product displays.
- Perform merchandising according to Clicks’ visual standards.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping throughout the store.
- Support stock management procedures.
- Share product knowledge with relief staff when required.
General Responsibilities
- Follow company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support the company’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
- Contribute to achieving sales, customer service, and operational targets.

Minimum Requirements
Essential
- Grade 12 (Matric).
Desirable
- Mathematics (50% or above) in Grade 12.
- English (50% or above) in Grade 12.
- Relevant qualification in Retail or Business Management.
- Experience in a customer-facing retail or FMCG environment.
