Job Overview
This role focuses on internal sales operations, where you’ll handle customer enquiries, generate quotes, process orders, and support the sales team. The position requires a results-driven individual with strong product knowledge and customer service skills, ideally within the steel industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls and convert enquiries into sales
- Prepare and follow up on quotations (email & phone)
- Process sales orders using Syspro
- Source stock from approved suppliers
- Manage back orders and ensure timely delivery
- Liaise with warehouse and external sales teams
- Assist with customer queries and complaints
- Maintain accurate sales records
- Support external sales with leads and occasional client visits
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in a sales role (steel industry preferred)
- Strong product knowledge in steel or related industry
- Syspro experience (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be based in or near Bloemfontein
Working Conditions
- Monday – Friday: 07:30 – 17:00
- Rotational Saturdays & Public Holidays
- Participation in stock takes required
