     Job Overview

    As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in running daily store operations. Your role is to ensure that sales targets, operational efficiency, and customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded.

     Key Responsibilities

     Stock Management

    • Ensure accurate receiving, unpacking, and merchandising of stock
    • Maintain optimal stock levels and reduce stock loss
    • Oversee stockroom organization and housekeeping
    • Authorise write-offs, returns, and damaged stock

     Sales Growth & Profitability

    • Analyse sales and profitability reports
    • Support action plans to improve store performance
    • Monitor product performance and provide feedback
    • Identify opportunities to boost sales and brand awareness

     Risk Management

    • Conduct compliance checks
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

     Customer Experience

    • Maintain high customer service standards
    • Ensure smooth execution of customer experience processes

     Leadership & Development

    • Lead and motivate the store team
    • Drive performance to achieve KPIs
    • Support training, coaching, and staff development
    • Assist with recruitment and performance management

     Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant store management role
    • Knowledge of:
      • Sales & service management
      • Budgeting
      • Retail operations
    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Strong communication skills
    • Understanding of brand, customer, and product
