Job Description
The Correctional Service Management Internship is designed to provide graduates with practical workplace experience within the Department of Correctional Services. The programme offers exposure to correctional centre operations, offender rehabilitation programmes, security management, correctional administration, offender management, and the implementation of correctional policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in the criminal justice and correctional services environment while developing professional skills required for a career in correctional management and rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities

Correctional Administration
- Assist with administrative functions within correctional facilities.
- Maintain offender records and documentation.
- Support departmental reporting and record management processes.
- Ensure compliance with correctional policies and procedures.
Offender Management and Rehabilitation

- Support initiatives aimed at offender reintegration.

General Internship Duties

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a:
- National Diploma or Degree in Correctional Services Management
- National Diploma or Degree in Correctional Sciences
- National Diploma or Degree in Penology
- National Diploma or Degree in Criminology
- National Diploma or Degree in Security Management
