Job Description
The Academic Content Writer: Financial Management is responsible for developing, reviewing, updating, and maintaining academic learning materials and assessments within the Commerce Department. The role focuses on creating high-quality educational content for higher education students, ensuring that all materials align with academic standards, programme specifications, and the Eduvos brand.
The successful candidate will work closely with subject matter experts and academic teams to develop engaging learning resources, assessments, and online learning content across various Commerce disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development
- Develop new learning materials for students.
- Create study guides, learning resources, and academic content.
- Design and develop assessments aligned with programme outcomes.
- Ensure content meets Eduvos academic and brand standards.
- Follow approved content development guidelines.
Collaboration and Quality Assurance
- Work with subject matter experts and academic teams.
- Participate in communities of practice within the faculty.
- Submit content for moderation and quality assurance reviews.
- Incorporate feedback from moderators and reviewers.
- Submit completed material for copy-editing through approved processes.
Content Management
- Upload and release content on the appropriate learning platforms.
- Manage and maintain module content on learning management systems.
- Ingest and organize module content.
- Ensure learning materials remain current and relevant.
Review and Updating of Learning Materials
- Review existing study materials and assessments.
- Update content to reflect curriculum changes and industry developments.
- Resolve content-related queries from stakeholders.
- Ensure assessment quality and academic integrity.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Postgraduate Degree in:
- Management Accounting
- Auditing
- Financial Management
Advantageous
- Master’s Degree.
- PhD qualification.
- SAICA registration.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in:
- Lecturing in Higher Education
- Academic content development
- Study material development
Preferred Experience
- Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly Moodle.
- Assessment design and development across various NQF levels.
- Academic journal publishing.
