Job Description
Fidelity Services Group is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join its Bloemfontein team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting payroll administration and ensuring that employee payroll information, posting sheets, leave, deductions and pay-related queries are processed accurately and within the required deadlines.
The Payroll Administrator will work closely with Area and Operations Managers and report directly to the allocated Payroll Managers. The role requires strong administrative ability, numerical accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain neat, accurate and up-to-date route files.
- Ensure all bookings are updated daily.
- Check and capture posting sheets on a daily basis.
- Resolve posting sheet queries within the required timeframes and escalate unresolved matters to management.
- Follow up and obtain company numbers for relevant bookings.
- Ensure corrections are submitted using valid correction posting sheets.
- Attend to all payroll queries and provide feedback promptly.
- Provide relevant memos and payroll order numbers for submitted queries.
- Perform daily courtesy calls to managers and sites supplying posting sheets.
- Ensure time books are submitted to management for employees under the relevant area of responsibility.
- Check route files when they are returned.
- Ensure accurate calculations for changes in rates of pay.
- Submit and process relevant deductions, including third-party deductions, garnishee orders and maintenance orders.
- Process employee leave.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Liaise professionally with personnel at all levels.
- Meet strict payroll deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate.
- SAP experience will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent numerical accuracy.
- Methodical approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees and management at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision.
