Position Overview:
VKB Group is seeking a seasoned and strategic Executive Head of Internal Audit to lead its internal audit and forensic investigations department. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in strengthening governance, enhancing risk management, and upholding organizational integrity.
Responsibilities:
Internal Audit:

Develop and implement the internal audit strategy and annual audit plan

Advise executive leadership and the Audit Committee on risk, control, and governance matters

Ensure compliance with IIA standards and relevant regulations
-
Build and sustain robust internal control frameworks
-
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing audit team
Forensic Investigations:

Lead investigations into fraud, misconduct, and irregularities
-
Develop forensic audit protocols and execute comprehensive investigations
-
Collaborate with legal, HR, compliance, and external agencies
-
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure secure handling of sensitive information

Deliver detailed investigation reports with clear, actionable outcomes
Qualifications:

B.Com degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CA(SA) is required
-
CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) is strongly advantageous
-
Minimum 10 years of internal audit experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity

Deep expertise in governance, risk management, and control environments

Proficiency in audit technologies and data analytics

Strong communication and influence skills across all organizational levels
