Responsibilities:

Oversee food preparation and presentation across one or more outlets
-
Direct, lead, and manage kitchen teams (50–100 staff)

Plan innovative, cost-effective menus ensuring variety and quality
-
Supervise daily meal production and maintain hygiene and safety standards
-
Maintain and enforce kitchen equipment care, stock levels, and inventory procedures
-
Monitor kitchen financials including cost control, spoilage reduction, and budget alignment
-
Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff performance and discipline
-
Ensure compliance with ISO22000 and OH&S policies
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with managers, suppliers, and internal departments
-
Act as a culinary leader ensuring consistency, quality, and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
-
Matric (Grade 12) preferred
-
Degree/Diploma in Culinary Science or a related field
-
5–10 years’ proven experience as an Executive Chef
-
Experience overseeing multiple kitchen outlets is desirable
-
Must have own transport and a valid driver’s license
Skills & Competencies:

Leadership and staff development in large kitchen operations

Advanced knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and culinary techniques

Budgeting, inventory control, and cost management
-
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to operate under pressure and handle multiple priorities

Experience with ISO22000 and occupational health and safety practices
