    • Job Title: Executive Chef

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee food preparation and presentation across one or more outlets

    • Direct, lead, and manage kitchen teams (50–100 staff)

    • Plan innovative, cost-effective menus ensuring variety and quality

    • Supervise daily meal production and maintain hygiene and safety standards

    • Maintain and enforce kitchen equipment care, stock levels, and inventory procedures

    • Monitor kitchen financials including cost control, spoilage reduction, and budget alignment

    • Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff performance and discipline

    • Ensure compliance with ISO22000 and OH&S policies

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with managers, suppliers, and internal departments

    • Act as a culinary leader ensuring consistency, quality, and operational efficiency

    Qualifications:

    • Matric (Grade 12) preferred

    • Degree/Diploma in Culinary Science or a related field

    • 5–10 years’ proven experience as an Executive Chef

    • Experience overseeing multiple kitchen outlets is desirable

    • Must have own transport and a valid driver’s license

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Leadership and staff development in large kitchen operations

    • Advanced knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and culinary techniques

    • Budgeting, inventory control, and cost management

    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to operate under pressure and handle multiple priorities

    • Experience with ISO22000 and occupational health and safety practices
