Learnership Overview
Econofoods is offering a 12-month Meat Processing Learnership Programme for motivated individuals who want to gain practical work experience while working towards a formal qualification.
This programme is designed for candidates who are eager to develop their skills within the production environment and become part of Econofoods’ vibrant HO HOLA company culture. Successful learners will receive hands-on workplace training while earning a monthly stipend.
Key Responsibilities
Successful learners will:
- Participate fully in the 12-month Meat Processing Learnership Programme.
- Receive practical, on-the-job training within the Production Department.
- Learn meat processing procedures and production operations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with production team members.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and product quality.
- Demonstrate commitment, reliability, and professionalism throughout the programme.
- Work retail hours as required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Not be currently studying or enrolled in another qualification or learnership.
- Be willing to commit to the full 12-month learnership.
- Be willing to work retail hours.
- Be able to travel to stores when required.
- Reside in Bloemfontein, Free State.
- Be available to start on 1 October 2026.
