Botshabelo Hospital seeks a qualified and motivated Dietician to join our team. This role requires delivering comprehensive nutrition services, supporting patient health, and implementing nutritional programs and policies in a collaborative environment. Depending on experience, candidates will be considered at Grade 1, 2, or 3.

Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Matric (or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics.
- Professional Registration: Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) for 2023/2024.
- Experience:
- Grade 1: No experience required after registration with HPCSA as a Dietician.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ experience post-registration.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ experience post-registration.
- Additional Requirements: Certificate of service from current and/or previous employer(s), endorsed by Human Resources. Valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nutritional counseling services to support patient dietary needs and health goals.
- Prescribe and authorize special diet products based on individual patient requirements.
- Implement guidelines and standards to promote healthy nutritional practices.
- Create and distribute informational pamphlets on various nutrition topics.
- Develop and manage customized nutrition programs for individuals or groups.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of dietetics principles, including nutrition assessment and analysis.
- Familiarity with health and public service legislation, regulations, and policies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with patients, supervisors, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in basic computer literacy.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team across all service levels.
