Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair medical equipment within the hospital
-
Provide technical support to clinical staff
-
Identify and manage technical risks in the hospital environment
-
Oversee and coordinate work completed by contractors
-
Perform administrative duties related to technical operations
-
Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure excellent client service
Qualifications:
-
Essential Education: NQF Level 6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) or Clinical Engineering
-
Desired Education: NQF Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Engineering
-
Essential Certification: Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport
-
Desired Certification: CEASA registration
Experience:
-
Essential: Minimum 2 years’ postgraduate clinical engineering experience in a healthcare setting
-
Desired: 3 years’ postgraduate clinical engineering experience in the healthcare industry
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
-
Knowledge of infection control practices
-
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
-
Familiarity with SAP and using SAP reports
-
Experience with planned maintenance of medical and X-ray equipment
-
Understanding of financial principles in a maintenance context
-
Knowledge of Mediclinic technical policies and equipment testing procedures
