    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and repair medical equipment within the hospital

    • Provide technical support to clinical staff

    • Identify and manage technical risks in the hospital environment

    • Oversee and coordinate work completed by contractors

    • Perform administrative duties related to technical operations

    • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure excellent client service

    Qualifications:

    • Essential Education: NQF Level 6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) or Clinical Engineering

    • Desired Education: NQF Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Engineering

    • Essential Certification: Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport

    • Desired Certification: CEASA registration

    Experience:

    • Essential: Minimum 2 years’ postgraduate clinical engineering experience in a healthcare setting

    • Desired: 3 years’ postgraduate clinical engineering experience in the healthcare industry

    Required Skills and Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

    • Knowledge of infection control practices

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    • Familiarity with SAP and using SAP reports

    • Experience with planned maintenance of medical and X-ray equipment

    • Understanding of financial principles in a maintenance context

    • Knowledge of Mediclinic technical policies and equipment testing procedures
