Tender Overview
The Department of Health Free State invites suitably qualified electrical contractors to undertake cable fault finding and possible joint rewiring of a guard room in Bloemfontein.
The successful contractor will be responsible for identifying faults in the electrical cabling, locating the affected areas and carrying out the necessary repairs or joint rewiring to restore safe and reliable electrical functionality.
Scope of Work
The work is expected to include:
- Conducting electrical testing to identify cable faults.
- Locating and diagnosing defective or damaged cabling.
- Identifying faulty cable joints and connections.
- Repairing or rewiring cable joints where required.
- Replacing damaged cable sections where necessary.
- Ensuring electrical work is completed safely and professionally.
- Testing the repaired installation.
- Completing inspection and commissioning requirements.
Contractor Requirements
- Contractors must have a minimum CIDB grading of 1 EB or higher.
- Only contractors meeting the required CIDB grading are eligible to submit tenders.
- Tenders must be completed and submitted using the official tender documentation issued by the employer.
- Contractors must comply with all prescribed tender submission, sealing, addressing and delivery requirements.
- Work must comply with applicable electrical safety, occupational health and safety and procurement requirements.
