Job Overview
Metropolitan Life is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to join its team in Phuthaditjhaba, Free State.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Financial Advisers, driving sales performance and supporting the delivery of an excellent client experience.
This role is suited to a financial services professional with managerial experience in overseeing financial advice and knowledge of long-term insurance and pension benefit products.
Role Purpose
The Branch Manager will manage, lead and motivate a team of Financial Advisers to deliver quality client experiences while supporting the achievement of Metropolitan Channel sales targets.
The role includes sales leadership, team development, recruitment, performance management and ensuring that branch activities comply with operational processes and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Financial Advisers.
- Develop action plans to drive sales and improve team performance.
- Monitor and support the achievement of branch sales targets.
- Ensure compliance with operational processes and applicable legislative requirements.
- Build a positive branch culture that motivates employees and promotes productivity.
- Recruit and select high-performing Financial Advisers.
- Motivate and develop team members to achieve their objectives.
- Support Financial Advisers in delivering quality financial advice and client service.
- Manage stakeholder and client relationships effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve branch performance.
- Encourage collaboration and innovation within the team.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Matric or an equivalent NQF Level 5 qualification.
- RE5 Regulatory Examination.
- FAIS Representative legislative qualification.
- Class of Business 3 and 7 will be preferable.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should have:
- 3–5 years’ working experience in the financial services industry.
- At least 2 years’ managerial experience overseeing the provision of financial advice.
- Experience with FAIS Tier 1 Long-Term Insurance and Pension Benefit products.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Access to your own vehicle.
- Computer literacy.
