Job Overview
Tokollo District Hospital is inviting suitably qualified and experienced Professional Nurses to apply for the position of Assistant Manager: Nursing PNA 7.
The successful candidate will provide nursing management and leadership, coordinate the delivery of effective patient care, manage human resources, support health promotion initiatives and ensure the appropriate use of financial and physical resources.
Salary and Benefits
R720,819 – R846,282 per annum
The package includes:
- 13th cheque.
- Housing allowance.
- Medical aid – optional, subject to the prescribed requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Basic R425 qualification, such as a Diploma/Degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- At least 8 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
- At least 3 years of the required experience must be appropriate/recognisable experience at management level.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.

- Ensure adequate nursing care through appropriate delegation and supervision.

- Promote compliance with professional nursing standards and procedures.
Health Promotion
- Initiate and participate in health-promotion activities.
- Ensure consistent communication of relevant, accurate and comprehensive healthcare information.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving patient and community health outcomes.
Stakeholder and Team Relationships
- Develop, establish and maintain constructive working relationships with nursing staff and other stakeholders.

Nursing Standards and Procedures
