- Remuneration:
- Chairperson: R2,265.00 per hour for audit committee meetings, R556.00 per hour for ad-hoc meetings.
- Member: R1,838.00 per hour for audit committee meetings, R337.00 per hour for ad-hoc meetings.
- Travel and subsistence allowances will be covered per department guidelines.
2. Shared Audit Committee: Department of Public Works and Infrastructure & Department of Community Safety, Roads & Transport

- Location: Bloemfontein
- Remuneration:
- Chairperson: R2,265.00 per hour for audit committee meetings, R556.00 per hour for ad-hoc meetings.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess:
- A postgraduate degree in one of the following fields:
- Accounting
- Internal Auditing
- Risk Management
- Information Technology
- Social Sciences
- Law
- Engineering Sciences (for Public Works & Infrastructure)
- Safety and Security (for Community Safety, Roads & Transport)
- At least five (5) years of experience at an executive management level in the relevant field.
- Professional membership in a recognized body (advantageous).
- Previous experience serving on an Audit Committee or similar governance body.
Key Responsibilities
The Shared Audit Committees have a crucial role in financial oversight and governance, ensuring accountability within government departments. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing financial reports and risk assessments.
- Ensuring compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
- Providing strategic financial advice and risk mitigation recommendations.
