    • Remuneration:
      • Chairperson: R2,265.00 per hour for audit committee meetings, R556.00 per hour for ad-hoc meetings.
      • Member: R1,838.00 per hour for audit committee meetings, R337.00 per hour for ad-hoc meetings.
      • Travel and subsistence allowances will be covered per department guidelines.

    2. Shared Audit Committee: Department of Public Works and Infrastructure & Department of Community Safety, Roads & Transport

    • Remuneration:
      • Chairperson: R2,265.00 per hour for audit committee meetings, R556.00 per hour for ad-hoc meetings.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must possess:

    • A postgraduate degree in one of the following fields:
      • Accounting
      • Internal Auditing
      • Risk Management
      • Information Technology
      • Social Sciences
      • Law
      • Engineering Sciences (for Public Works & Infrastructure)
      • Safety and Security (for Community Safety, Roads & Transport)
    • At least five (5) years of experience at an executive management level in the relevant field.
    • Professional membership in a recognized body (advantageous).
    • Previous experience serving on an Audit Committee or similar governance body.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Shared Audit Committees have a crucial role in financial oversight and governance, ensuring accountability within government departments. Responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing financial reports and risk assessments.
