Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and validate test methods to ensure accuracy and credibility of lab results
- Maintain and update instrumentation lab method manuals
- Monitor trends via control charts and address non-compliance with management system standards
- Prepare and distribute weekly water quality failure reports to relevant regions
- Investigate non-conformances from audits and apply corrective actions
- Benchmark industry best practices and recommend suitable testing methodologies
- Oversee repair and maintenance of lab instruments and resolve technical issues
- Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual lab performance reports
- Supervise all instrumentation laboratory activities
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance in the lab environment
Qualifications:
- Honours Degree in Chemistry
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a SANAS-accredited laboratory at supervisory level
- Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of ISO 17025
- SANAS-approved Technical Signatory
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong analytical, supervisory, and reporting skills
