Job Purpose
The Agricultural Equipment Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Working within a CASE Agency environment, the successful candidate will specialize in servicing and repairing CASE agricultural equipment while maintaining manufacturer standards and VKB operational requirements. The role includes workshop-based and field service activities, customer interaction, technical troubleshooting, and mentoring junior personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Service, maintain, and repair agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Perform mechanical overhauls on tractors, implements, and agricultural vehicles.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Customer Service and Technical Support
- Compile quotations according to customer requirements and equipment specifications.
- Provide professional technical support to customers.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and service delivery.
Administrative Duties
- Complete service worksheets accurately and according to company procedures.
- Process warranty and guarantee claims correctly.

Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4.
- Completed N2 Tractor Mechanic qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience working as a mechanic.
- Experience repairing agricultural machinery and equipment is highly advantageous.
