Job Overview
The Administration Clerk: Mechanical Services provides administrative and logistical support within the SAPS Mechanical Services workshop. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining workshop records, processing maintenance documentation, tracking repair progress, and ensuring that mechanical repair records are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will:
- Provide administrative support within the Mechanical Services workshop.
- Perform general clerical and office administration duties.
- Process maintenance job cards and related documentation.
- Track work-in-progress for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure all mechanical repairs are accurately recorded and documented.
- Maintain workshop records and filing systems.
- Provide logistical and administrative support to workshop operations.
- Assist with planning and coordinating administrative activities.
- Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen (documentary proof required).
- Be proficient in English and at least one other official South African language.
- Possess a Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4) recognised by SAQA.
- Demonstrate competency in the core functions of the position.

- Relevant courses or training related to administration, mechanical services, logistics, or office management.

Salary and Benefits
- Salary: R237 453 per annum (Salary Level 5)
