Job Description
The Academic Content Writer: Software Engineering is responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining academic learning materials and assessments for the Information Technology Department. The role focuses on creating academically rigorous content in Software Engineering and related IT disciplines, ensuring alignment with higher education quality standards, programme specifications, and the Eduvos brand.
The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts to develop study materials, assessments, and online learning content for undergraduate and Honours-level programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development
- Develop new study materials, learning resources, and assessments.
- Create academically rigorous content up to 4th Year/Honours level.
- Ensure content aligns with programme outcomes and Eduvos standards.
- Follow approved content development guidelines and templates.
Collaboration and Quality Assurance
- Work closely with subject matter experts and faculty teams.
- Participate in academic communities of practice.
- Submit content for moderation and quality assurance reviews.
- Incorporate moderator and reviewer feedback.
- Submit content for copy-editing through approved processes.
Content Management
- Upload and release learning materials to designated platforms.
- Set up and manage module content where required.
- Ensure content is accurate, engaging, and up to date.
- Ingest module content into learning management systems.
Review and Updating of Learning Materials
- Review existing study materials and assessments.
- Update content according to curriculum and industry developments.
- Resolve content-related queries.
- Maintain academic integrity and assessment quality.
