Job Purpose
Clover’s Bloemfontein Distribution Branch is looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee warehouse operations during the night shift. The successful candidate will manage warehouse staff, ensure operational efficiency, maintain stock control, enforce safety standards, and support the achievement of distribution targets.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
- Grade 12 / National Certificate (NQF Level 4).
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role.
- Computer literacy.
- Fluent Business English.
- Experience working with senior management.
- Willingness to work permanent night shifts.
- Availability to work weekends, shifts, and public holidays.
Advantageous
- Tertiary qualification in:
- Supply Chain Management.
- Logistics.
- Related field.
- Residence in or near Bloemfontein.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise and manage warehouse employees during the night shift.
- Allocate tasks and monitor productivity.
- Motivate staff to achieve operational targets.
- Manage discipline according to company policies.
- Monitor employee attendance and performance.
Warehouse Operations
- Assist in managing warehouse processes and procedures.
- Support receiving, picking, packing, loading, and storage activities.
- Ensure operational efficiency and productivity.
- Assist with stock control and inventory management.
Stock Management
- Assist with planning and coordinating stock counts.
- Support stock-taking activities.
- Help prevent stock losses and shrinkage.
- Monitor inventory accuracy.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
- Maintain safe working conditions.
- Report unsafe conditions and operational deviations.
- Verify that all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) and forklift licences remain valid and up to date.
Cold Chain and Temperature Control
- Monitor temperature-controlled storage areas.
- Ensure bay doors are not left open unnecessarily.
- Protect product quality and cold-chain integrity.
Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse.
- Ensure work areas remain neat and tidy at all times.
- Promote housekeeping standards among staff.
Administrative Support
- Assist the Distribution Manager with leave management.
- Support reporting and operational administration.
- Ensure compliance with Clover procedures and policies.
