Tax Officer
Nedgroup Trust is seeking a meticulous and experienced Tax Officer to join its team. Based either in KZN or Cape Town, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering calculations and submissions in the fiduciary environment, ensuring full compliance with SARS regulations while creating value for the business and clients.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and reconcile calculations, registers, trial balances, and general ledger accounts
Administer matters relating to pre-death, at-death, and post-death estates
Engage with SARS through eFiling, ensure timely updates and submissions
Manage reconciliations for annual submissions, including shares and provision payments
Ensure timely payments and compliance with SARS and internal deadlines
Address service desk queries and outstanding issues from internal stakeholders and SARS
Participate in monthly meetings to resolve compliance concerns
Build relationships with internal teams and advise on correct treatments
Remain cost-aware by preventing penalties through accurate and timely work
Maintain accurate client data on reporting systems
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
Matric / National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation (NQF Level 7)
Experience:
2–3 years of experience in tax administration within the financial or banking sector, preferably in a fiduciary environment
Skills and Knowledge:
Sound understanding of tax legislation and SARS eFiling
Proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative systems
Familiar with banking and fiduciary procedures
Strong reconciliation, compliance, and reporting skills
