Tender Description
Setsoto Local Municipality invites suitably qualified suppliers to provide and deliver a range of water and sewer infrastructure materials, plumbing components, fasteners and maintenance tools to the Ficksburg Water Treatment Works.
The successful supplier will be responsible for supplying the specified materials and delivering them directly to the Water Treatment Works following receipt of an official purchase order.
Scope of Supply
The required materials include:
- PVC female stop ends/endcaps ranging from 63 mm to 160 mm
- Fully threaded bolts, nuts and washers from M6 to M16
- Plumbing toolboxes
- Heavy-duty hacksaws
- Construction ratchets
- Pipe wrenches
- Chisels
- Club hammers
- Sledgehammers
- Tape measures
- Safety tape
- Extension steel reels
- 6-metre PVC interlock pipes, Class 16
- Flange adaptors, including 400 mm and 344–360 mm variants
- Flange joining sets consisting of bolts, nuts, washers and gaskets
Supplier Requirements
Bidders should be able to demonstrate:
- Capacity to manage and supply mixed water and sewer materials.
- Effective inventory and warehousing capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate prompt delivery to the Ficksburg Water Treatment Works.
- Compliance with municipal supply-chain procurement requirements.
- Valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration.
- Valid company registration documentation.
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN.
- Current municipal rates and taxes account, with accounts not more than three months in arrears.
- Completion and signing of the MBD 4 Declaration of Interest.
- Where premises are leased, a valid lease agreement and relevant service statements may be required.
Delivery Requirements
- Materials must be delivered directly to the Ficksburg Water Treatment Works.
- Standard delivery is required within three business days after the official purchase order is issued.
- Suppliers proposing a different delivery timeframe must declare the alternative timeframe in advance.
- Products must be transported and handled appropriately to prevent damage or loss of quality.
Technical Requirements
The supplier must provide materials that meet the specifications stated in the quotation/tender documentation, including:
- Pressure-rated PVC piping and associated components.
- Appropriate flange adaptors and joining sets.
- Correct sizes and quantities of bolts, nuts, washers and gaskets.
- Suitable industrial-grade tools and maintenance equipment.
- Proper packaging and safe delivery of all materials.
Procurement & Compliance
The quotation must:
- Clearly state the supplier’s MAAA CSD registration number.
- Remain valid for 30 days.
- Clearly indicate the proposed delivery lead time.
- Include all required statutory and municipal compliance documentation.
- Comply with the municipality’s applicable preferential procurement requirements.
