Tender Overview
Transnet is inviting quotations for the supply and delivery of pneumatic components used in air brake systems for rail wagons. Scope of Supply
The successful supplier will be required to provide components including:
- Compressor flexi hose assembly
- 16 mm diameter
- 720 mm length
- Braided rubber/steel core
- G1 BSPP male connections
- Indicator pressure gauge
- 0–1000 KPA measurement range
- Analog display
- Minimum IP65 weatherproof protection
- Suitable for real-time pneumatic pressure monitoring
- BPCP manifold control unit
- Brake Pipe Control Port manifold assembly
- Capable of maintaining brake pipe pressure at approximately 550 KPA
- Overcharging capability
- Controlled and sequential brake application
- Programmable for specified braking levels
Key Responsibilities of the Supplier
The successful bidder will be expected to:
- Supply the specified pneumatic and air-brake components.
- Ensure all products meet the required technical specifications and standards.
- Deliver the components to Wagons Bloemfontein.
- Provide technical drawings and compliance documentation where required.
- Ensure components are suitable for demanding railway environments.
- Maintain traceability of materials and components back to the manufacturer.
- Ensure proper packaging and protection of components during transportation.
- Comply with Transnet’s procurement, safety and security requirements.
- Obtain any required security clearances for personnel.
- Complete the electronic tender submission in accordance with the RFQ requirements.
