Responsibilities:
Review and maintain financial transactions on BAS, PERSAL, and LOGIS systems to support effective budget control.
Address enquiries related to financial management practices and ensure alignment with policies and legislation.
Monitor and support the implementation of departmental and public service financial policies.
Develop internal policies related to financial control in accordance with applicable prescripts.
Prepare detailed financial reports and statistical data for departmental programmes using BAS, PERSAL, and LOGIS systems.
Qualifications:
A relevant degree or diploma with Accounting or Mathematics as a passed subject.
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Budget Control, Financial Control, or an Administrative environment within the Public Sector.
Sound knowledge of:
Basic Accounting System (BAS)
LOGIS (Logistical Information System)
PERSAL (Personnel Salary System)
Batch control processes
Skills required: Numeracy, report writing, communication, problem-solving.
Must be computer literate.
Benefits:
R325 101 per annum (Level 07), basic salary.
