The role involves overseeing financial systems, addressing budget-related queries, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review and maintain financial transactions on BAS, PERSAL, and LOGIS systems to support effective budget control.

    • Address enquiries related to financial management practices and ensure alignment with policies and legislation.

    • Monitor and support the implementation of departmental and public service financial policies.

    • Develop internal policies related to financial control in accordance with applicable prescripts.

    • Prepare detailed financial reports and statistical data for departmental programmes using BAS, PERSAL, and LOGIS systems.

    Qualifications:

    • A relevant degree or diploma with Accounting or Mathematics as a passed subject.

    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Budget Control, Financial Control, or an Administrative environment within the Public Sector.

    • Sound knowledge of:

      • Basic Accounting System (BAS)

      • LOGIS (Logistical Information System)

      • PERSAL (Personnel Salary System)

      • Batch control processes

    • Skills required: Numeracy, report writing, communication, problem-solving.

    • Must be computer literate.

    Benefits:

    • R325 101 per annum (Level 07), basic salary.
