Purpose of the Role:
To develop and lead local crime prevention strategies through the Community Prosecution Initiative (CPI). The incumbent will serve as a strategic link between the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and communities, contributing to safer neighbourhoods by fostering partnerships, guiding investigations, and ensuring effective prosecution of community-based crimes.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive the implementation of the Community Prosecution Initiative (CPI) in alignment with national priorities.

Analyse local crime trends and socio-criminal dynamics to identify and execute relevant interventions.

Plan, coordinate, and participate in community outreach and justice initiatives.

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal departments, law enforcement, community leaders, and other stakeholders.

Represent the NPA in community and government structures at local, provincial, and national levels.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community prosecution strategies.

Prepare detailed reports and provide feedback on progress to the DPP and National Coordinator.

Perform prosecutorial duties such as docket management, court preparation, and case presentation when required.
Qualifications and Experience:

LLB Degree or any appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors seeking promotion.

Minimum of 8 years post-qualification litigation experience.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and nationally.

Positive security clearance.
