Job Purpose
To monitor and assess hazardous or unsafe situations and ensure the implementation of the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Plan across the CUT campuses.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Advanced Diploma in Environmental Health, Safety Management, or equivalent
HPCSA registration in a relevant field
Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in HSE
Desired Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Health or Safety Management
SACPCMP registration (Project and Construction Management)
4 years of relevant HSE experience
Technical Competencies
Risk management and hazard control
Development and implementation of HSE management systems
Accident/incident response
Emergency planning and response
HSE compliance training and audits
Project coordination and HSE committee establishment

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate HSE activities across all CUT campuses
Provide support in risk assessment and hazard identification
Assist in development, review, and implementation of HSE management systems
Administer general HSE-related documentation and ensure compliance
Manage incident/accident investigations, emergency planning, and event safety
Oversee construction site safety, communicable disease control, and compliance monitoring
Coordinate HSE training, reporting, and project implementation
Establish and support functioning HSE committees
