    The Risk Management Practitioner will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental risk management processes. The role is central to ensuring compliance with the Risk Management Framework, promoting a risk-aware culture, and providing critical insights to strengthen governance within DESTEA.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or related field (SAQA recognised).

    • 3–5 years’ experience in risk management processes.

    • Strong computer literacy.

    • Valid driver’s license.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist with the development and implementation of the Risk Management Strategy, Policy, and Plan.

    • Support the establishment and monitoring of risk management processes to ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework.

    • Maintain and regularly update departmental risk registers to track progress and effectiveness.

    • Promote a risk management culture and build capacity within the Department.

    • Review the implementation of risk management processes to strengthen compliance.

    • Coordinate Risk Committee meetings and draft quarterly committee reports.

    • Implement risk management practices in line with the Department’s Risk Management Plan.
