Job Purpose
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a panel of qualified service providers to perform repairs, maintenance, refurbishment, and upgrades of water and sanitation infrastructure within the Dihlabeng Local Municipality over a three-year period. The appointment aims to improve service delivery, reduce procurement turnaround times, and ensure reliable municipal water and sanitation services.
Scope of Work
The appointed panel members will be required to perform work on an as-and-when-required basis, including:
Repairs, maintenance, refurbishment, and upgrading of:
Water supply infrastructure
Sanitation and wastewater systems
Scheduled and emergency maintenance at:
Pump stations
Water treatment works
Sewer pump stations
Replacement and repair of:
Pumps and motors
Electrical panels and control systems
Generators and associated equipment
Installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of:
Electrical and mechanical equipment
Provision of:
Site supervision
Health, safety, and environmental management
Quality assurance
Preparation and submission of:
As-built drawings
Operation and maintenance manuals
Technical and progress reports
Technical Requirements
Supply, installation, and maintenance of:
Submersible, centrifugal, and borehole pumps
Motors, valves, pipework, screens, and mixers
Control panels, PLCs, HMIs, smart controllers, and LV cabling
Standby generators and associated systems
Compliance with:
SANS and IEC standards
Occupational Health and Safety Act
Environmental legislation
Implementation of:
Site safety plans
Quality management systems
Routine inspections, operational testing, and commissioning of equipment
Adherence to approved specifications and installation procedures
Skills & Competency Requirements
The tenderer must demonstrate:
CIDB registration of 2ME or higher
Proven experience in water and wastewater infrastructure
Technical capability in:
Mechanical and electrical installations
Pumping systems and control systems
Availability of qualified personnel, including:
Contracts Manager
Construction Manager
Safety Officer
Skilled technical staff
Financial capability supported by:
Recent financial statements
Bank guarantees (if required)
Ability to provide:
On-site supervision
Training and support services
Compliance with:
Environmental, health, and safety requirements
Municipal procurement and reporting standards
Demonstrated experience through references and project history

Contract Nature
