Tender Description
The National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) invites suitably qualified contractors to submit tenders for the renovation of the STAT Laboratory at Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein.
The project involves upgrading and refurbishing the existing laboratory facility to improve its functionality, safety and compliance with applicable healthcare and laboratory standards.
The completed facility is intended to provide an effective and reliable environment for urgent diagnostic testing and STAT laboratory services.
Scope of Work
The renovation project is expected to include:
- Physical refurbishment of the designated laboratory space.
- Structural modifications where required.
- Interior fit-outs.
- Installation and upgrading of laboratory infrastructure.
- Building and finishing works.
- Adaptation of services required for laboratory operations.
- Compliance with healthcare facility and laboratory standards.
- Implementation of specifications contained in the official tender documentation.
- Work in accordance with the relevant architectural drawings and Bill of Quantities.

Technical Requirements
- Tenderers must have a minimum CIDB grading of 2GB or higher.
- Contractors must submit their tenders using the official tender documentation issued for the project.
- Tenders must be properly sealed and correctly addressed.
- Bids must be physically delivered before the stipulated closing time.
- Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
- Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Contractors must comply with all requirements contained in the Tender Data.
