The Recovery Coordinator is responsible for managing, optimising, and maintaining Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems within a cement manufacturing or heavy industry environment. This role ensures that recovery systems operate efficiently, contribute to energy savings, and support the plant’s operational performance and sustainability goals. The Recovery Coordinator will work closely with engineering and operations teams to monitor system performance, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with technical standards and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate brings extensive knowledge of WHR systems, proven experience in heavy industry or cement manufacturing, and strong technical and project coordination skills. This role is critical to enhancing energy recovery, reducing operational costs, and contributing to overall plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimise Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems within the plant.

Monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure WHR systems are operating effectively.

Analyse data from WHR systems and report on performance, energy savings, and operational improvements.

Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and environmental standards.

Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering and operations teams.

Participate in projects to improve plant energy efficiency and reduce waste heat losses.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of WHR system performance.
Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).
-
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.

GCC Factories certification.
-
8+ years’ experience in cement manufacturing or heavy industry environments.

Extensive knowledge of Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems.
