Purpose of the Role
To ensure the efficient operation of the dispensary, providing excellent pharmaceutical care, ensuring safe dispensing, customer service, and compliance with SAPC and Clicks standards — all to maintain a competitive advantage for the brand.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution and professional advice per SAPC standards.
Manage dispensary operations: stock control, shrinkage, housekeeping, and admin compliance.
Meet dispensary and clinic sales/compliance targets.
Train and oversee Pharmacist Assistants and Interns (as per SAPC requirements).
Drive customer service excellence, loyalty, and Clicks ClubCard participation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (centre management, suppliers, distribution centres).
Partner with the clinic and healthcare aisle for a complete healthcare offering.
Uphold Clicks’ values and support its vision of being South Africa’s preferred health & beauty retailer.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
Desirable:
Retail Pharmacy experience (advantageous)
Unisolve system experience (advantageous)

Understanding of ethical pharmacy practice
