Job Overview / Description: OUTsurance Broker
The OUTsurance Broker is responsible for growing and managing a profitable short-term insurance portfolio by acquiring new personal and commercial insurance business. Operating within the OUTsurance Broker Tied Agent Model, the role focuses on prospecting, canvassing, and building strong, long-term client relationships while delivering compliant, customer-focused insurance solutions.
The role requires a strong entrepreneurial and sales-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently in the field while remaining aligned to OUTsurance’s governance, FAIS requirements, and service standards. The Broker provides professional financial advice, conducts needs analyses, presents appropriate insurance products, and ensures all sales and documentation meet regulatory and ethical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Grow and develop a book of short-term insurance business
Sell personal and commercial insurance products
Prospect, canvass, and generate new business through face-to-face selling
Conduct client needs analyses and provide compliant financial advice
Manage and maintain strong client relationships
Meet sales targets and business growth objectives
Ensure compliance with FAIS legislation and OUTsurance governance standards
Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation
Collaborate with the Commercial team and sales support functions
Minimum Requirements
Matric / National Senior Certificate
Own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access
Valid Code B driver’s licence
Minimum of 3 years’ external face-to-face sales experience
Experience in lead generation, cold calling, and relationship management
FAIS Requirements (if previously appointed as a FAIS Representative):
FAIS credits / Full Insurance Qualification (based on DOFA)
RE5 qualification (based on DOFA)
