Introduction:
A client of MHR, specializing in clinical trials, is seeking a Medical Technologist with pathology experience to support laboratory operations in processing blood, tissue, and cell samples from patients. This role is for regular temporary shifts in Bloemfontein.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Specimen Handling & Processing

Receive, process, and prepare tissue and cell samples

Conduct microscopic examination preparation
2. Laboratory Testing
-
Perform:
-
Histological staining
-
Immunohistochemistry
-
Specialized diagnostic procedures
-
3. Quality Control
-
Ensure test accuracy and reliability
-
Maintain and calibrate lab equipment
-
Adhere to established laboratory protocols
4. Result Analysis & Reporting
-
Analyze test results and prepare reports
-
Communicate findings to pathologists and healthcare teams
5. Record Keeping & Communication
-
Keep accurate lab records
-
Collaborate effectively with medical teams, staff, and patients
Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Biomedical Technology Qualification (NDip, BTech, etc.)

Registered with the HPCSA in Clinical Pathology (Active Registration Required)

Immediate availability for shift work
